Greetings and welcome to the Illinois Professional Division website. I am Tracy Lake . I am pleased to be your 2008-10 Illinois Professional Division President. While our year has been a slow one, Ryan, April and I have been discussing ideas for new programs and projects for the Professional Division to increase our involvement in our wonderful organization.

I am currently an accountant at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and have just completed my 10 th year working for them. I also serving my 9 th year as the SIUC local chapter adviser, and I currently sit on the Illinois Phi Beta Lambda State Board as a Director. I hold several leadership positions in community organizations, including currently serving as the fundraising chair for our local PTO. I have held several Professional Division offices over the years and am happy to once again be able to serve this organization.

I have been a member of FBLA-PBL for 18 years now and it has truly been a memorable ride. I hope to be able to share many more years with each of you. FBLA-PBL is a major part of my life and I am always searching for new ways for it to reach others. I encourage each of you to look for some part of this organization that you can fall in love with and get as much, if not more, out of it as I have.

Ryan Brakhane
PD Secretary-Treasurer

Greetings. My name is Ryan Brakhane and I am your 2008-2009 Professional Division Secretary/Treasurer. I reside in St. Peters , Misouri, but was born and raised in Worden , Illinois .

Currently I am employed at Washington University in St. Louis in the Medical Alumni Office for the School of Medicine . In May 2003, I received my Associates degree from Southwestern Illinois College in Bellville as an “Electronic Publishing Specialist.” In March 2007, I received my Bachelors degree in Technical Management with a focus in Business Administration from DeVry University in Kansas City .

I began my involvement with PBL in the fall of 1999 at Southwestern Illinois College by being recruited from a member. It is unfortunate that I was unable to be involved in FBLA, but my high school did not have a chapter. Once I joined PBL, I knew that I was going to be member for life. This organization has really helped me grow, both personally and professionally, and also to be more confident in myself.

I am looking forward to a great and successful year working with everyone. Please do not hesitate to contact myself or any other member of the PD team.
