Hello Illinois Phi Beta Lambda! My name is Chris Pulec and I am serving as your 2011-2012 State President. I am currently a sophomore attending Richland Community College. This December I am transferring to Illinois State University as a junior where I will be pursuing a triple major in accounting, finance, and economics. I have been a member of PBL for two years now. In that time, I have been a chapter Vice President and chapter President. I have competed and placed in national competitions, serve on two national PBL councils and I will utilize every resource at my disposal to assist the great state of Illinois to become the flag ship of the North Central region and possibly the nation!
Your 2011-2012 state officer team is already hard at work to ensure that you have the most successful year of PBL possible. With that in mind, the officer team has a challenge for you. Dare to become more than what you are. Dare to push yourself outside the box and into uncharted territory. When we all collectively work toward this goal our state chapter, our local chapters, and we as individuals will discover new gateways to greatness!
Ultimately the state chapter belongs to you the member. Take every opportunity and leave no stone unturned. Get involved on the state level! Find us on Facebook and Twitter and share your ideas, explore the Illinois PBL Ambassador Program, consider state office! But above all things, never settle for anything less than your very best. The only person who can get in the way of finding your gateway to greatness.... is you.

Hello Illinois Phi Beta Lambda Members!!! My name is Aaron Nickson and I have the privilege of serving as your 2010-2011 IL PBL Vice President.
I am from Fort Smith, Arkansas and currently attending Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville. I am also dual enrolled at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where I plan on completing my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
PBL is the premier education association preparing students not only for a career but also for success in life. This year I look forward to everyone assisting each other in establishing individual and occupational goals which will also contribute to being successful students and a better organization. And by actively participating in programs such as becoming PBL Ambassadors and CMAP (Career and Membership Achievement Program), we can reach the GATEWAY TO GREATNESS in our local chapters as well as the entire State…

Welcome Illinois Phi Beta Lambda members! My name is James Murphy and I will be serving as your Illinois PBL State Treasurer this year. This is my first year being a state officer, and I am looking forward to working hard and doing my best to keep Illinois PBL successful and fun!
I'm from Mill Shoals, IL and currently attending McKendree University as a senior with a major in Accounting and Economics/Finance. I'm interested in getting my CPA license after graduation, and then either getting a job or going to graduate school. Although I wasn't in FBLA in high school, I have been involved with PBL since my freshman year. My sophomore year I served as Public Relations of my local chapter, and Treasurer my junior year. I will be local Co-President this year.
As a member of PBL, “You will get out of it, what you put into it.” I've have seen this personally as it has helped me grow as a person and meet a lot of new people. It offers great networking opportunities that will be essential in the future. I believe in this state officer team to help provide you the resources you need to succeed. I look forward to working with you as we make this year exciting and successful!
Kathy Chen
Parliamentarian

Hello Illinois Phi Beta Lambda! My name is Kathy Chen and I will be serving as your 2011-2012 IL PBL Parliamentarian. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Illinois, working towards a degree in Accountancy and Finance. Outside of Phi Beta Lambda, I am a member of the James Scholar Program and Case Corps.
I became involved with FBLA-PBL in high school where, as a member, I attended a variety of conferences and developed my leadership skills through a variety of events. When I first came to the U of I, there was a small local Phi Beta Lambda chapter that I immediately joined. PBL helped me transition into college life with the friendships I formed. I have experienced firsthand how this organization develops leaders and after 5 years with the organization, and am fully committed to it.
This year's officer team is already working hard to serve you, the members. We have a number of goals, but we also want to hear your goals so that the organization as a whole can continue to grow in the direction that will best serve its members. I was excited to be approved as your Illinois PBL Parliamentarian. I look forward to working with you this year!
