Jenni Salisbury
President

E-Mail Jenni

Greetings Illinois Phi Beta Lambda. My name is Jenni Salisbury and I will be serving as your 2010-2011 IL PBL President. I am currently a junior at the University of Illinois, working towards a degree in Accountancy. Outside of Phi Beta Lambda, I am a member of the Business Honors Program and Business Council. I also work as a lifeguard on campus.

I became involved with FBLA-PBL in high school where it was a big part of my life. I was a local chapter officer and developed my leadership skills through a variety of events. I also attended a variety of conferences. When I first came to the U of I, there was no local Phi Beta Lambda chapter so I became a founding member of our local chapter and currently serve as the local chapter president. I have seen firsthand how this organization develops leaders and after 6 years with the organization, am fully committed to it.

This year's officer team is already working hard to serve you, the members. We have a number of goals, but we want to hear from you so that the organization as a whole can continue to grow in the direction that will best serve its members. If we keep communication lines between chapters and the state officers open, together we can UNITE Illinois PBL.

Thank you once again for electing me as your Illinois PBL President. I look forward to working with you this year!

Hello Phi Beta Lambda Members! My name is Jordan Alexander, as your State Vice President for 2010-2011. I can assure you that I will meet and exceed all my duties as your officer! This will be a busy year for all of us, but also a successful one.

I am from Peoria, IL; currently attending Illinois Central College. My goals are to transfer to a four year university and achieve my bachelors and masters degree in sales and marketing. My employment is with Pearl Insurance and Hollister.

I joined Phi Beta Lambda in 2010, and from the beginning this amazing organization has provided me with non-classroom professional skills to handle situations that will happen in future workforce situations. Holding meetings, running events, and handling things professionally has provided all of us with a “Competitive Edge.” The hard work I provided my ICC chapter has led me to pursue a state level position.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone from various chapters around our state and being a part of the amazing things we will accomplish as state.

Hello Illinois Phi Beta Lambda, my name is Edd Cockrell and I will be serving as your 2010-2011 State Secretary. This year is going to be full of Adventure and Excitement.

This past year was my second year with FBLA-PBL, where I served as State Secretary and Southwestern Illinois Chapter Secretary. I also served as the Representative in the SWIC Student Leadership Group for Phi Beta Lambda. In my spare time I like to travel and just hang out with friends.

This year Illinois Phi Beta Lambda will be "Breaking Barriers”. I challenge every member in Illinois Phi Beta Lambda to get to know their State and Local Legislators. We need to let our voices be heard. I also challenge everyone to pursue the impossible. Thank you once again for allowing me to serve as your 2009-2010 State Secretary and I hope to see you around the state.

Hello all.  My name is Charles Martin Jr. and I will be serving as your 2010-2011 Illinois Phi Beta Lambda State Parliamentarian.  I am entering my last undergraduate year at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and I am pursuing degrees in Accountancy and Finance.  I have been involved with FBLA-PBL since I was a freshman in high school and I am looking forward to the upcoming year.  FBLA-PBL has been a strong influence in my life and I hope to give back to it as much as it has given to me in the past six years.

The Officer team has some interesting ideas for the upcoming year and we hope that every member will become engaged in the activities we are planning for you.  I hope to see more faces in the upcoming year, whether that be through increased recruiting efforts or the addition of new chapters, and would like to hear about all of the activities individual chapters are planning.
